TeraBox link not downloading? Here's how to fix it

July 18, 2026

Most failed links come down to one of a few causes: the link was copied incorrectly (missing characters at the end is the most common), the file was removed or made private by the uploader after the link was shared, or the domain used isn't one of the supported TeraBox mirrors.

Check the source first

Start by opening the link directly in a browser — if TeraBox itself shows "file not found" or asks you to log in, the problem is on the source side, not the resolver. If it opens fine in TeraBox but fails here, double-check you copied the full URL including the "/s/" segment and any trailing code.

Folder links aren't supported

Folder links (multiple files bundled together) aren't supported yet — only single-file share links work. If you were sent a folder, ask the sender for the direct link to the specific file you want.

Check whether the share is still public

Open the original link in a private browser window. If TeraBox asks for an account, password, or permission, ask the owner to create a new public single-file link.

Copy the complete URL

Links copied from messaging apps can be truncated or include punctuation. Copy the address directly from the browser and paste the complete URL again.

Confirm that the file still exists

A share stops working when the owner deletes the file, disables sharing, or replaces the link. An expired file cannot be recovered by a downloader.

Browser and network checks

  • Refresh the page and retry once.
  • Update Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
  • Disable an aggressive content blocker temporarily.
  • Switch networks if the request times out.
  • Avoid repeatedly submitting the same link within a few seconds.

Folder links versus file links

A folder share may not resolve like an individual video or document. Create or request a public share for the specific file.

If the link opens publicly but still fails, keep the exact URL and error message when contacting support. Never send passwords or private account details.
